Some ideas need more space than a canvas can offer.

My installations take discarded materials out of their familiar context and place them directly into the physical world. A garden, a public space, a large interior, a landscape — the surroundings become part of the work.

I use space to create an encounter. The object becomes something you can walk around, enter, sit beside, or sometimes even interact with. The aim is not simply to make an object, but to create a situation: something that evokes a feeling, raises a question, or makes the familiar suddenly look different.

The interaction with the viewer is an essential part of this work. A visitor can become a participant, leaving something behind, making a choice or simply standing in the presence of something that was once considered worthless.

Installations are a field I want to explore much further: larger spaces, public environments, gardens, landscapes and places where art can become an unexpected encounter in everyday life.
